Trifluoromethyl- or difluoromethylene-substituted alkyl radicals (CF3-C(*)- or -CF2-C(*)-) and trifluoromethyl-substituted alkenyl radicals (CF3-C(*)=C-) cyclize effectively intramolecularly to allow the synthesis of fluorine-substituted cyclic compounds.
