33250-21-4 Usage
General Description
Dipentaerythritol hexakis thioglycolate is a compound used in the production of polymers, resins, and adhesives. It is a derivative of pentaerythritol, a common building block in the synthesis of materials. The thioglycolate functional groups in this compound make it useful in crosslinking and modifying the properties of polymers, increasing their flexibility, and impact resistance. It is also employed as a capping agent for nanoparticles, in the production of paints and coatings, and as a potential corrosion inhibitor. Dipentaerythritol hexakis thioglycolate is known for its good thermal stability and high chemical resistance, making it a versatile and valuable ingredient in various industrial processes.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 33250-21-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,3,2,5 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 33250-21:
(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*5)+(3*0)+(2*2)+(1*1)=74
74 % 10 = 4
So 33250-21-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Organic thiol stabilizers and plasticizers for halogen-containing polymers
-
, (2009/07/10)
A novel organic thiol stabilizer for PVC is described herein. Specifically, this novel thiol stabilizer for PVC is dipentaerythritol hexakis(mercaptoacetate). The organic thiol stabilizer of the present invention, when blended with halogen-containing polymers such as PVC, or derivatives thereof, provides advantages in cost and/or performance relative to existing organic stabilizers for PVC.
