Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 33538-64-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,3,5,3 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 33538-64:
(7*3)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*4)=116
116 % 10 = 6
So 33538-64-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Total synthesis of the aglycone of venturicidins A and B. II
Akita,Yamada,Matsukura,Nakata,Oishi
, p. 1735 - 1738 (2007/10/02)
The C15-C27 segment 2 of the aglycone 3 of venturicidins A and B was synthesized and then total synthesis of 3 was accomplished via intramolecular Wittig-Horner reaction of the ester from 2 and the previously synthesized C1-C14 segment 1.
