337508-58-4 Usage
General Description
1H-Benzimidazole-2-carbonyl chloride hydrochloride is a chemical compound that is used as a reagent in chemical synthesis. It is a derivative of benzimidazole, a fused heterocyclic compound with a benzene ring fused to an imidazole ring. The carbonyl chloride group makes this compound a useful building block for the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. The hydrochloride salt form of the compound increases its stability and solubility in water, making it easier to handle and use in laboratory reactions. 1H-BENZIMIDAZOLE-2-CARBONYL CHLORIDE HYDROCHLORIDE is commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry and in academic research settings for the preparation of various synthetic compounds.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 337508-58-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 3,3,7,5,0 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 337508-58:
(8*3)+(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*5)+(4*0)+(3*8)+(2*5)+(1*8)=154
154 % 10 = 4
So 337508-58-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

We report the improved direct access to red-emitting BOIMPY fluorophores (λ ≈ 600 nm) via a simple one-pot approach. Our method starts from easily available benzimidazole-2-carboxylic acids and not only greatly improves the overall yields but also saves both costly reagents and time. In addition, the method facilitates the synthesis of novel unsymmetrical BOIMPY motifs. Therefore, these BOIMPY scaffolds derived from the BODIPY core become more accessible for applications as fluorophores at the appealing red edge of the visible spectrum.
