1,1,2,2,3,3,3-heptafluoro-N-(heptafluoropropyl)-N-(pentafluoroethyl)propan-1-amine is a complex organic compound with the molecular formula C9H3F17N. It is a fluorinated amine, which means it contains a high number of fluorine atoms, making it a perfluorinated compound. This molecule is characterized by its unique structure, with seven fluorine atoms attached to the propane backbone, a heptafluoropropyl group, and a pentafluoroethyl group attached to the nitrogen atom. Due to its highly fluorinated nature, 1,1,2,2,3,3,3-heptafluoro-N-(heptafluoropropyl)-N-(pentafluoroethyl)propan-1-amine exhibits properties such as low surface tension, high chemical stability, and resistance to thermal degradation. These characteristics make it potentially useful in various industrial applications, including as a surfactant, lubricant, or in the production of specialty chemicals. However, the specific uses and safety considerations of 1,1,2,2,3,3,3-heptafluoro-N-(heptafluoropropyl)-N-(pentafluoroethyl)propan-1-amine would require further investigation and testing.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 338-82-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 3,3 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 338-82:
(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*8)+(2*8)+(1*2)=69
69 % 10 = 9
So 338-82-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The electrochemical fluorination of nitrogen-containing carboxylic acids. Fluorination of methyl esters of 3-dialkylamino propionic acids

Abe, Takashi,Hayashi, Eiji,Fukaya, Haruhiko,Hayakawa, Yoshio,Baba, Hajime,et al.

, p. 101 - 111 (2007/10/02)

Six methyl esters of 3-dialkylamino-substituted propionic acids were subjected to electrochemical fluorination to give the corresponding perfluoroacid fluorides. The following dialkylamino substituents were investigated: diethylamino, di-n-propylamino, di-n-butylamino, pyrrolidino, morpholino and piperidino groups. These perfluoroacid fluorides, which were obtained in fair yields, are considered to be prospective key precursors for preparing soft-type (degradable) fluorochemicals. The salts show a considerable lowering of surface tension in aqueous solution.Thephysical properties of all the perfluoroacid fluorides obtained are reported, together with their spectroscopic data (19F NMR, mass and IR spectra).
