2,6-Dialkylated pyridine derivatives were obtained by two complementary methods.The first consists in metalation and subsequent alkylation of 2,6-lutidine by cinnamyl bromide.In the second method 2,6-di-(bromomethyl)-pyridine reacts with appropriate Grignard reagent to give 2,6-dialkylated products.
