34702-60-8 Usage
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
BOC-L-PENTAFLUOROPHENYLALANINE is used as a building block for the synthesis of peptides with specific biological activities. Its unique structure allows for the creation of peptides that can be used as therapeutic agents or for research purposes.
Used in Coatings Industry:
BOC-L-PENTAFLUOROPHENYLALANINE is used as an intermediate in the self-assembly of tripeptides into functional coating materials. These coatings are designed to resist biofouling, which is the accumulation of microorganisms, algae, or other biological matter on surfaces. This property makes the coatings suitable for various applications, such as marine coatings for ships and underwater structures, medical device coatings to prevent bacterial adhesion, and industrial coatings for equipment exposed to harsh environments.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 34702-60-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,4,7,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 34702-60:
(7*3)+(6*4)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*0)=98
98 % 10 = 8
So 34702-60-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Proteasomal processing is conducted by three individual catalytic subunits, namely β11, β2, and β5. Subunit-specific inhibitors are useful tools in dissecting the role of these individual subunits and are leads toward the development of antitumor agents. We here report that the presence of fluorinated phenylalanine derivatives in peptide based proteasome inhibitors has a profound effect on inhibitor potency and selectivity. Specifically, compound 4a emerges as one of the most β5 specific inhibitors known to date.
