Uses
Used in Plastics and Polymer Industry:
Docosanoic acid 2-hydroxypropyl ester is used as a stabilizer for PVC processing to prevent the degradation of PVC during processing and improve its stability. Its long-chain fatty acid structure provides effective stabilization and enhances the performance of PVC products.
Used in Personal Care Products:
In the personal care industry, Docosanoic acid 2-hydroxypropyl ester is used as an emollient and skin conditioning agent. Its waxy texture helps to provide a smooth and silky feel to the skin, improving the skin's appearance and texture. It also helps to moisturize and protect the skin, making it a valuable ingredient in various personal care products such as creams, lotions, and balms.
Used in Cosmetic Applications:
Docosanoic acid 2-hydroxypropyl ester is also utilized in cosmetic formulations as a thickening agent and emulsifier. Its ability to increase the viscosity of cosmetic products and stabilize emulsions makes it an essential component in the development of various cosmetic products, including makeup, skincare, and hair care products.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 3539-32-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,5,3 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3539-32:
(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*2)=90
90 % 10 = 0
So 3539-32-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Physical Properties of Fatty Acid Esters of 1,2-Propane Diol. Part-I: 1-Monoesters and Monoacid Diesters
Lewis, J. I.,Subrahmanyam, V. V. R.
, p. 1062 - 1064 (2007/10/02)
Pure monoacid diesters and 1-monoesters of 1,2-propane diol of odd chain fatty acids as well as of two higher even chain fatty acids were prepared and their physical properties determined. The odd and even chain fatty acid esters behave as two separate series, with respect to their melting behaviour: when considered as one series, alternation in the m.p. is evident. The changes in density and refractive index due to graded increases in molecular weight of the diesters, differ slightly for short and long chain fatty acid esters; dipropionate has the lowest viscosity amongst the diesters.
