Disulfide, bis(3-chloropropyl), also known as 1,1'-Dithiobis(3-chloropropane) or DCP, is an organosulfur compound with the chemical formula C6H12Cl2S2. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pungent odor and is used as a cross-linking agent in the vulcanization of rubber, particularly for natural rubber and polychloroprene. DCP is also employed as a curing agent in the production of neoprene and nitrile rubber, enhancing the strength and durability of the final product.
