The Langlois reagent was found to be effective for the isothiocyanation of primary amines in the presence of copper iodide and diethyl phosphonate.
Synthesis of Isothiocyanates and Unsymmetrical Thioureas with the Bench-Stable Solid Reagent (Me4N)SCF3

supporting information, p. 1831 - 1833 (2017/04/11)
A highly efficient, selective, and rapid transformation of primary amines and diamines to isothiocyanates and cyclic thioureas is disclosed. As opposed to established approaches that employ toxic or volatile electrophilic liquids and require reaction control (i.e., slow addition, cooling), this protocol utilizes the bench-stable, solid reagent (Me4N)SCF3 at room temperature. The method is characterized by operational simplicity, high speed, efficiency, high functional group tolerance, and late-stage applicability. The byproducts are solids, allowing isolation of the target compounds by filtration.
Tricyclic Compounds As mPGES-1 Inhibitors

Page/Page column 30, (2012/05/07)
The present invention relates to tricyclic compounds of formula (I) or pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as mPGES-1 inhibitors. These compounds are inhibitors of the microsomal prostaglandin E synthase-1 (mPGES-1) enzyme and are therefore useful in the treatment of pain and/or inflammation from a variety of diseases or conditions, such as asthma, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute or chronic pain and neurodegenerative diseases.
Modified guanidines as potential chiral superbases. 2. Preparation of 1,3-unsubstituted and 1-substituted 2-iminoimidazolidine derivatives and a related guanidine by the 2-chloro-1,3-dimethylimidazolinium chloride-induced cyclization of thioureas

Simple preparation methods for modified guanidines were explored for new chiral superbases. Thus, (4S,5S)-4,5-diphenyl- and diastereomeric cyclohexane-fused 2-iminoimidazolidines were prepared from (1S,2S) - 1,2 -diphenylethylenediamine and (1R,2R)- or (1S,2S)-1,2-diaminocyclohexanes through cyclization of protected thiourea intermediates with 2-chloro-1,3-dimethylimidazolinium chloride (DMC) as a key reaction. In the (4S,5S)-4,5-diphenyl series 1-methyl-2-iminoimidazolidines and 2-diethylaminoimidazoline were also prepared as related guanidines.
