Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3680-05-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,6,8 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3680-05:
(6*3)+(5*6)+(4*8)+(3*0)+(2*0)+(1*5)=85
85 % 10 = 5
So 3680-05-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Sulfinyl isobutyramide as an auxiliary for palladium(II)-catalyzed C-H arylation and iodination of benzylamine derivatives

Wang, Rui,Ding, Yongzheng,Li, Gang

supporting information, p. 4966 - 4970 (2017/07/10)

A novel readily available bidentate 2-methylsulfinyl isobutyramide directing group has been developed for benzylamine derivatives. It promoted ortho-C-H arylation and iodination of various substrates in good to excellent yields. The auxiliary is promising to be used in organic synthesis due to its versatility and convenient preparation from inexpensive materials.

Catalyse de l'oxydation par l'acid peracetique de sulfures organiques, contenant des fonctions fragiles, en sulfoxydes et sulfones correspondants

Rouchard, Jean,Moons, Chantal,Meyer, Joseph

, p. 441 - 443 (2007/10/02)

Organic sulfur compounds which contained supplementary susceptible functions (oxime, nitrile, acid, alcohol, oximecarbamate) were separately oxidised into the corresponding sulfoxides and sulfones with an anhydrous peracetic acid solution.Molybdenyl acetonylacetonate catalysed the oxidation toward the best conversions of the peracid, and the best selectivities for the sulfoxides and sulfones.
