Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 3760-56-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,7,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3760-56:
(6*3)+(5*7)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*6)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 3760-56-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Going one, twice... Reaction of the mononuclear complex [{η5-(tBu)2C4H2N}CrCl 2(thf)] with AlEt3 afforded the dinuclear species [{[η5-(tBu)2C4H2N]CrEt} 2(μ-Cl)2] (see picture; Cr purple, Cl green, C sticks/gray, H white). The complex acts a single-component selective trimerization catalyst; a higher loading of AlEt3 activator afforded isomerization of 1-hexene to cis, trans 2-hexene. (Chemical Equation Presented)
