We report here for the first time a novel difluoromethylated ketimine building block condensed by thioisatin and difluoroethylamine, offering efficient access to a broad range of enantioenriched products bearing difluoroethylamine units (27 examples, ≤98% yield, >99% ee) in the presence of quinine-derived squaramide. Further transformation of the intermediate would generate a variety of versatile functional blocks like α-difluoromethyl amines, β-amino acid, and β-diamine with retention of the enantiomeric excess at the difluoromethyl-bound carbon.

The invention discloses a benzo-aza-alkyl aryl piperazine derivative and applications in preparation of drugs. The derivative shows the effect on central nervous systems, especially on the double highaffinity activity of a 5-HT acceptor and a Sigma-1 acceptor. Various physiological and pharmacological effects are brought into play in the body; and the compound can be used as a pharmaceuticalactive substance, especially used for anti-depression, anti-anxiety, anti-bipolar affective disorder and anti-neuropathic pain, and can also be used as an intermediate to prepare other pharmaceuticalactive compounds. The compound is fast in effect and small in toxic and side effect, and can meet demands of clinical applications; and the compound is a compound or a free base or salt thereof havingthe following structural formula (IV). We report mesoporous nano-Pd-MCM-41 catalyzed rapid and efficient synthesis of 1,3,5-triarylbenzenes via de-nitrative cyclotrimerization of β-nitrostyrenes. All the reactions were very fast and high yielding. The Pd-MCM-41 was also very effective in catalyzing de-nitrative [3+2] cycloaddition of β-nitrostyrenes with TMSN3 to synthesize 4-aryl-NH-1,2,3-triazoles. The catalyst was reused at least up to eight times with minimum loss of catalytic activity.

The invention provides a cinnamic acid derivative. The cinnamic acid derivative is of the structure as shown in the formula I. The invention also provides two methods for preparing the cinnamic acid derivative. The two methods depend on a single bond or double bonds in the structure shown in the formula I. The invention further provides a pesticide. The pesticide comprises the cinnamic acid derivative. In addition, the invention provides a sterilization method. The sterilization method includes the step of applying the cinnamic acid derivative or the pesticide to crops. The crops include rice,wheat, fruit trees and vegetables. The low-toxicity, low-residue-content and high-activity environment-friendly cinnamic acid derivative is developed, and the cinnamic acid derivative pesticide can replace traditional high-toxicity and high-residue-content pesticides.

An array of hybrid catalysts incorporating a chloramphenicol base moiety linked to another chiral scaffold through a squaramide linker were developed and successfully used in the Michael addition of 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-carboxylates to nitroolefins. Control experiments suggested that the hybrid catalysts were more reactive than nonhybridized bifunctional catalysts, and matching of the chirality between the two scaffolds was crucial for high reactivity and stereoselectivity. These hybrid organocatalysts could be used with a variety of substrates. At a 0.5 mol-% catalyst loading, a range of 2,3-dihydrobenzofuran-2-carboxylates derivatives bearing quaternary and tertiary stereogenic centers were obtained in high yields (up to 98 %) with excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99 % ee) and moderate diastereoselectivities (up to 8:92 dr).

A ZrCl4-mediated simple method for the conversion of vinyl nitrates to 1,2,3-triazoles in excellent yields is developed. The obtained new triazoles were evaluated for their antimicrobial activity.

A series of 3,4-diarylpyrrolidin-2-one was designed, prepared and evaluated as triple reuptake inhibitors for antidepressant. Most compounds exhibited comparable in vitro efficacy as norepinephrine and dopamine transporter reuptake inhibitors. Especially, 2i showed better potency than GBR-12909 (IC 50 = 14 nM) which was used as reference compound for dopamine transporter. In addition, 2a and 2b showed inhibition (5.17 μM-85.6 nM) for three transporters.

A novel one-pot synthesis of α,β-unsaturated methyl ketone/nitro compounds from benzylic amines through an oxidation-aldol/Henry reaction is reported. The reaction proceeded well by using MCPBA as oxidant and CuCl 2·2H2O as catalyst. A variety of functionalized α,β-unsaturated methyl ketone/nitro compounds were assembled in moderate yields by application of this catalytic one-pot reaction. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart New York.
