37797-42-5 Usage
General Description
(E)-(4-methoxy-7,7-dimethyl-2,6,8-trioxabicyclo[3.3.0]oct-3-yl)methylidene-methyl-oxido-azanium, also known as methoxyflurane, is a volatile anesthetic gas that is used for general anesthesia during surgical procedures. It is a halogenated ether that acts as a central nervous system depressant, causing sedation, analgesia, and muscle relaxation. Methoxyflurane is highly lipid-soluble and rapidly crosses the blood-brain barrier, leading to rapid onset and recovery from anesthesia. While it has a relatively quick onset of action, methoxyflurane is associated with the risk of toxicity, particularly renal and hepatic toxicity, and is no longer widely used in clinical practice due to the availability of safer anesthetic agents.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 37797-42-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,7,7,9 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 37797-42:
(7*3)+(6*7)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*2)=165
165 % 10 = 5
So 37797-42-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
