Disodium 3-[[4'-[[6-amino-1-hydroxy-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-3,3'-dimethoxy[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]azo]-4-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulphonate is a dark blue uniform powder that exhibits red light blue properties. It is soluble in water, producing a deep purple color, and is also adequately soluble in ethanol, resulting in a red light purple color. When treated with strong sulfuric acid, it turns blue, and when diluted, it turns purple. The dye solution turns purple upon the addition of strong hydrochloric acid, with the formation of a precipitate. It also turns red wine color when treated with a thick hydrogen oxidation solution.

Used in Textile Industry:
Disodium 3-[[4'-[[6-amino-1-hydroxy-3-sulphonato-2-naphthyl]azo]-3,3'-dimethoxy[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]azo]-4-hydroxynaphthalene-1-sulphonate is used as a dye for cellulose fiber glue, such as cotton and hemp. It is also suitable for dyeing silk, polyamide fiber, and stick/jin blended fabrics.
