The invention discloses a synthesis method for 3-bromine-2-ethylpyridine. The method comprises the steps that 2,3-bromopyridine is taken as the raw material and reacts with diethylzinc under the effect of a catalyst to obtain the 3-bromine-2-ethylpyridine. Although, there are many reports about application of the 3-bromine-2-ethylpyridine in medicine synthesis, synthesis routes for the 3-bromine-2-ethylpyridine are not reported. According to the synthesis method, a synthesis route is proposed for the first time, by-products are reduced, the high-yield high-purity 3-bromine-2-ethylpyridine is prepared, and reaction conditions are mild.
