Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3934-23-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,9,3 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3934-23:
(6*3)+(5*9)+(4*3)+(3*4)+(2*2)+(1*3)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 3934-23-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

EXTERNAL PREPARATION FOR THE SKIN AND COPOLYMER TO BE USED THEREIN

-

Page/Page column 9, (2008/06/13)

An object of the present invention is to provide an external preparation for the skin, which shows an excellent effect of sufficiently protecting the living body against irritants that exist in the external environments, and a polymer material to be preferably used therein. Provided is an external preparation for the skin obtained mixing a copolymer which comprises constituent units derived from monomers of the general formula (I), (II) and, if necessary, (IV) with the content of units (I) ranging from 5 to 25 wt % based on the total amount of all the constituent units, preferably with the contents of units (I), (II) and (IV) being 5 to 9.8 wt %, 30.2 to 45 wt %, and 50 to 60 wt %respectively, with other optional components. In the formula, R1 is H or C1-3 alkyl; R2 is C5-12 alkyl having 8 to 21 fluorine atoms; R3 is H or C1-3 alkyl; R4 is optionally hydroxylated C2-4 alkylene; R5 is H, a C1-20 aromatic group, a C1-20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group, or C1-20 acyl; and n is 4 to 50.

, p. 47 - 73 (2007/10/02)

Several fluorinated and chlorofluorinated acrylates and methacrylates were synthesized from the alcohols RFCH2OH with RF=CCl3, CHClCH2CCl3, (CF2CFCl)nCl, (C2F4)nH, CF3, C7F15 and C6F13CH2. The corresponding polymers were also studied for their application as transparent polymeric materials. For this purpose the refractive indices n20D of the monomers and the polymers were measured as were the Tg values of the polymers. A study of their infrared spectra shows to what extent these products could be utilized taking into consideration their absorption in the long wavelength range between 0.85 and 1.50 m. The refractive indices of these polymers, which are reduced when increasing the number of fluorine atoms in the molecule, and that of the Tg measured between 50 and 70° C for the fluorinated methacrylates, indicate a potential use of these polymers as sheathing materials for optical fibres.
