39450-05-0 Usage
Uses
Halowax 1099 is used for in vitro assay on human thyroid hormone receptor β agonist and antagonist effects of individual polychlorinated naphthalenes and Halowax mixtures.
General Description
Chlorinated hydrocarbons with varying chlorine content, including chlorinated naphthalenes, ranging in viscosity from a low viscosity oil to hard microcrystalline waxes.
Air & Water Reactions
Insoluble in water.
Reactivity Profile
Halogenated aliphatic compounds, such as HALOWAX 1099, are moderately or very reactive. Reactivity generally decreases with increased degree of substitution of halogen for hydrogen atoms. Materials in this group may be incompatible with strong oxidizing and reducing agents. Also, they may be incompatible with many amines, nitrides, azo/diazo compounds, alkali metals, and epoxides. HALOWAX 1099 can react vigorously with oxidizing materials.
Health Hazard
ACUTE/CHRONIC HAZARDS: May be toxic by ingestion.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 39450-05-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 3,9,4,5 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 39450-05:
(7*3)+(6*9)+(5*4)+(4*5)+(3*0)+(2*0)+(1*5)=120
120 % 10 = 0
So 39450-05-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
