P-phenylphosphonothioic diamide, also known as O,O-diethyl phosphorodithioate or O,O-diethyl phosphorodithioic diamide, is an organophosphorus compound with the chemical formula C6H12NO2PS2. It is a colorless to pale yellow liquid with a pungent odor and is used as an agricultural insecticide and acaricide. The compound works by inhibiting the activity of acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme responsible for breaking down the neurotransmitter acetylcholine in the nervous system of insects, leading to their paralysis and death. Due to its potential health risks and environmental concerns, its use has been restricted or banned in several countries.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 3969-46-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 3,9,6 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 3969-46:
(6*3)+(5*9)+(4*6)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*6)=128
128 % 10 = 8
So 3969-46-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
