A new bitter triterpene ester glucoside have been isolated along with known bitter triterpene glucoside peduncloside and some minor triterpenes ulsolic acid, rotundic acid, and rotungenic acid from the unripe fruits of Ilex rotunda.The structure was characterized as β-D-glucopyranosyl 3β,19α,24-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oate by spectral data and chemical mens.
