The present invention provides a process for producing a fluorine-containing propene compound represented by Formula (2): CF2191XCF=CH2 wherein X is F, Cl, or H, the process including reducing a compound represented by Formula (1): CF2XCF=CCl2 wherein X is the same as the above, with hydrogen in the presence of a catalyst. The process according to the present invention is suitable for industrial production, and ensures simple and efficient production of the fluorine-containing propene compound represented by Formula (2): CF2XCF=CH2 wherein X is F, Cl, or H.
