Uses

Used in Military Industry:
Azidoformic acid is used as an explosive for various military applications, such as in the production of detonators and other explosive devices. Its high reactivity and explosive properties make it a powerful component in these applications.
Used in Mining Industry:
Azidoformic acid is also used as an explosive in the mining industry for activities such as blasting and excavation. Its ability to produce a strong explosion makes it suitable for breaking down rocks and other materials in mining operations.
Due to the hazardous nature of azidoformic acid, it is handled and stored with extreme caution and used only in highly controlled and specialized processes to minimize the risks associated with its instability.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 4472-05-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 4,4,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 4472-05:
(6*4)+(5*4)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*5)=83
83 % 10 = 3
So 4472-05-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

This invention relates to compounds of the formula a compound of the formula STR1 wherein X is O, CR7 R8, S or NR9 wherein R7 and R8 are independently hydrogen, or lower alkyl, and R9 is lower alkyl; n is 0 or 1; R1 and R2 are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, monoorganosilyl, diorganosilyl, triorganosilyl, halogen, aryl, or nitro; R3 is hydrogen, lower alkyl, monoorganosilyl, diorganosilyl, triorganosilyl, halogen, 9-fluorenylalkyl, cycloalkyl, aryl or aralkyl; R4 and R5 are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, or aryl or one of R4 and R5 is 9-fluorenyl; R6 is H or COZ wherein Z is an amino acid, a peptide residue or a leaving group; and with the provisos that when n is 0 and R3 is hydrogen, R1 and R2 are not hydrogen, halogen or nitro; that when n is 0 and R3 is lower alkyl, R1 and R2 are not hydrogen; and that when X is O or CR7 R8 wherein R7 and R8 are H, that R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6 are not all simultaneously H. The compounds of the present invention are useful in peptide synthesis as blocking or protecting groups for reactive groups. The present invention is also directed to a method of protecting a reactive group of an organic molecule during a reaction which modifies a portion of the molecule other than the protected group.

Compounds containing fluorocarbon residues and azido groups as textile-finishing agents

-

, (2008/06/13)

Textile-finishing agents are provided by compounds of the formula wherein Rf represents a fluorocarbon chain, A represents a linking group, X represents a sulphonazide or azidoformate group and m and n are integers. The Rf group may be a linear or branched fluorocarbon chain containing 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and the linking group A may be a simple organic linking group or it may be a macromolecular linking group. The simple linking groups may have one or more fluorocarbon chains and one or more azido groups attached thereto, while the macromolecular linking groups may have a considerable number of fluorocarbon and/or azido groups attached thereto.
