Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 4619-08-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 4,6,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 4619-08:
(6*4)+(5*6)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*0)+(1*8)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 4619-08-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SELECTIVITY IN THE REACTIONS OF ALKYLLITHIUM REAGENTS WITH α, ω-DICHLOROPERMETHYLSILOXANES
Kazoura, Samih Amine,Weber, Wolliam P.
, p. 149 - 156 (2007/10/02)
The reactions of 1,3-dichlorotetramethyldisiloxane and 1,5-dichlorohexamethyltrisiloxane with alkyllithium reagents have been studied. At low temperature (-78 deg C) only one of the two silicon-chlorine bonds of 1,3-dichlorotetramethyldisiloxane reacts readily with alkyllithium reagents. This permits the selective preparation of 1-alkyl-3-chlorotetramethyldisiloxanes or by hydrolysis 1-alkyl-3-hydroxytetramethyldisoloxanes.The silicon-chlorine bond of 1-alkyl-3-chlorotetramethyldisiloxanes reacts with alkyllithium reagents at higher temperatures (0 deg C).Both the silicon-chlorine bonds of 1,5-dichlorohexamethyltrisiloxane react competitively with alkyllithium reagents at -78 deg C.No cleavage of siloxane bonds by alkyllithium reagents is observed under these conditions.Spectral properties of a number of 1-alkyl-3-hydroxytetramethyldisiloxane and 1-alkyl-5-hydroxyhexamethyltrisoloxanes are reported.
