Synthesis of Siphulin, a Naturally Occurring Homoflavone
Kjaer, Anders,Kjaer, Dana
, p. 65 - 68 (2007/10/02)
Siphulin, the only homoflavone known in Nature, is synthesized from 2-hydroxy-4-benzyloxy-6-heptylacetophenone and methyl 2-carboxy-3,5-dibenzyloxyhomophthalate, reacting, in the presence of sodium hydride, to give tri-O-benzylprotosiphulin, convertible,
NEW SIPHULIN DERIVATIVES FROM THE LICHEN SIPHULA CERATITES
Shimada, Sachiko (nee Miyoshi),Saitoh, Tamotsu,Namiki, Yoshihiko,Sankawa, Ushio,Shibata, Shoji
, p. 467 - 469 (2007/10/02)
From the lichen, Siphula ceratites, two new metabolities, protosiphulin and oxysiphulin, were isolated besides the known compound, siphulin. The structures of the two new chromenones were proved by 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectral analysis in comparison with those of siphulin.Key Word Index - Siphula ceratites; Usneaceae; siphulin; protosiphulin; oxysiphulin; lichen metabolites; chromenones.
