Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 49802-96-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 4,9,8,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 49802-96:
(7*4)+(6*9)+(5*8)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*9)+(1*6)=152
152 % 10 = 2
So 49802-96-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The discovery of novel acyclic amide cannabinoid-1 receptor inverse agonists is described. They are potent, selective, orally bioavailable, and active in rodent models of food intake and body weight reduction. A major focus of the optimization process was to increase in vivo efficacy and to reduce the potential for formation of reactive metabolites. These efforts led to the identification of compound 48 for development as a clinical candidate for the treatment of obesity.
