Push-Pull Triafulvenes from 1,1'-Oxy-di and 1-pyridinium Salts
Weber, Hans-Martin,Maas, Gerhard
, p. 604 - 608 (2007/10/02)
1-pyridinium salt 6 reacts with activated methylene compounds 7 in the presence of pyridine to give triafulvenes 8.The use of 1,1'-oxy-di salt 5 for the same purpose is limited: with the ambident anions of 1,3-diketones, enol ether salts 9 are formed in some cases at the complete expense of triafulvenes 8.Compound 8n, however, can be obtained only from 5.
Azahexamethine Neutrocyanines with a Diaminocyclopropenylidene Auxochrome
Weber, Hans-Martin,Maas, Gerhard
, p. 1791 - 1794 (2007/10/02)
By ring opening of the N-(2,3-diaminocyclopropenylio)pyridinium salt 1 with the anions of malononitrile, dimedone, or Meldrum's acid the protonated polymethines 5a-c are formed, which yield the neutral dyestuffs 6a-c on deprotonation. In solution, 5a, b ar
