Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5045-43-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,0,4 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5045-43:
(6*5)+(5*0)+(4*4)+(3*5)+(2*4)+(1*3)=72
72 % 10 = 2
So 5045-43-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Application of Phase-Transfer Catalysis to the Synthesis of Mono- and Bis-stilbenes and Styryls
Lokhande, S. B.,Rangnekar, D. W.
, p. 485 - 488 (2007/10/02)
A novel and convenient method has been developed for the synthesis of substituted stilbenes by the condensation of active methyl group in suitably substituted toluenes with aromatic aldehydes in aq. medium at room temperature using benzyltriethylammonium chloride as a phase-transfer catalyst. This method has also been applied for the preparation of heterocyclic styryls and extended to the synthesis of bis-stilbenes and bis-styryls using aromatic dialdehydes in place of monoaldehydes.A comparison of the results shows that the present method is superior to the conventional methods in many respects.
SYNTHESIS AND SPECTRAL-LUMINISCENCE PROPERTIES OF AZOLE ANALOGS OF 1,4-DISTYRYLBENZENE AND ISOMERIC DISTYRYLNAPHTHALENES
Vernigor, E. M.,Shalaev, V. K.,Novosel'tseva, L. P.,Luk'yanets, E. A.,Ustenko, A. A.,et al.
, p. 464 - 468 (2007/10/02)
Azole analogs of 1,4-distyrylbenzene and the isomeric 2,6-, 1,5-, and 2,7-distyrylnaphthalenes were obtained by condensation of 2-methylazoles with terephthaldehyde or the corresponding isomeric diformylnaphthalenes in dimethylformamide (DMF) in the prese
