The reactions of RNC with CH2R1R2 (2 = 2,6-Me2C6H3; R1, R2 = COOMe, COOEt, CN) in the presence of Co2(RNC)8 or Co2(CO)8 gave cyclic compounds in a 4:1 molar ratio.Co2(RNC)8 also catalyzed CH2(CN)2 to give a pyridine derivative.
