+ Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitor (MAOI)
DMABI is a potent, selective, and reversible inhibitor of monoamine oxidase (MAO), an enzyme involved in the breakdown of neurotransmitters in the brain.
+ Neurotransmitter Elevation
By inhibiting the oxidation of monoamines such as serotonin and norepinephrine, DMABI leads to elevated levels of these neurotransmitters in the brain, potentially contributing to its antidepressant and anxiolytic properties.
+ Anti-cancer Potential
DMABI has been studied for its ability to induce apoptosis (cell death) in cancer cells, making it a potential candidate for anti-cancer therapy.
+ Versatile Building Block
Due to its reactivity and ability to undergo various chemical transformations, DMABI is a valuable building block in organic chemistry.
+ Organic Synthesis
DMABI is widely used in organic synthesis, particularly as a fluorescent dye.
+ Fluorescent Dye
Its yellow coloration makes it suitable for use as a dye in scientific research and other applications.
+ Antidepressant and Anxiolytic Properties
DMABI's ability to inhibit MAO and increase neurotransmitter levels in the brain suggests potential for treating depression and anxiety.
+ Anti-cancer Therapy
The compound's potential to induce apoptosis in cancer cells is being explored as a possible cancer treatment.
+ Chemical Transformations
DMABI's versatility in undergoing chemical reactions makes it a valuable tool in the field of organic chemistry.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 507484-61-9 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 5,0,7,4,8 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 507484-61:
(8*5)+(7*0)+(6*7)+(5*4)+(4*8)+(3*4)+(2*6)+(1*1)=159
159 % 10 = 9
So 507484-61-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
