Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 508-71-4 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,0 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 508-71:
(5*5)+(4*0)+(3*8)+(2*7)+(1*1)=64
64 % 10 = 4
So 508-71-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

BIOSYNTHETICALLY DIRECTED MICROBIOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATIONS WITH THE FUNGUS TRICHOTHECIUM ROSEUM
Alam, Muzaffar,Hanson, James R.
, p. 3801 - 3803 (2007/10/02)
Microbiological transformation of 7β,10β,19-trihydroxyros-15-ene and its 15,16-dihydro derivative by the fungus Trichothecium roseum gave the corresponding 7-ketones, whilst 10β,19-dihydroxyrosa-7,15-diene formed the 7β,8β-epoxide albeit in low yield. No metabolites of the 7,10β,19-trihydroxy-8β(H)-ros-15-enes were detected.
