Novel method for Separation of GA4/GA7 Mixtures
Ku, Yi-Yin,Sawick, David
, p. 801 - 803 (1995)
Preparative separation of GA4 1 and GA7 2 from the commercially available mixture of GA4 1 and GA7 2 was achieved which is predicated upon the discovery of the differential reactivities of GA4 and GA7 toward silyl ether formation and subsequent deprotection. KEYWORDS: Gibberellin acids (GA4 and GA7); separation; selective silylation and desilylation
A New Method for the Deoxygenation of Tertiary and Secondary Alcohols
Dolan, Simon C.,MacMillan, Jake
, p. 1588 - 1589 (2007/10/02)
The derivatisation of alcohols as their methyl oxalyl esters is shown to be a convenient and selective method for deoxygenation by stannyl radicals.
Partial Synthesis of Gibberellin A7 from Gibberellin A3
Beale, Michael H.,MacMillan, Jake
, p. 3536 - 3543 (2007/10/02)
Gibberellin A3 (2) has been converted into gibberellin A7 (1) by the novel reduction of the bridgehead-methanesulphonate (12) by tri-n-butylstannane, followed by hydrolysis of the resulting acetate (14).
