511-12-6 Usage
Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Dihydroergotamine is used as an anti-adrenergic agent for the treatment of migraine and orthostatic hypotension. It helps alleviate the symptoms of these conditions by targeting the adrenergic receptors in the body.
Used in Neuroprotection:
Dihydroergotamine is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of 2'-Epidihydroergotamine (E584910), which is another ergot alkaloid with potential neuroprotective properties. Dihydroergotamine is being investigated for its ability to protect against degenerative diseases, offering hope for future therapeutic applications.
Brand names:
Some of the brand names for Dihydroergotamine include D.H.E. 45 (Valeant) and Migranal (Valeant), which are commercially available for the treatment of migraine and orthostatic hypotension.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 511-12-6 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 511-12:
(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*1)+(1*2)=36
36 % 10 = 6
So 511-12-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
