Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 51227-49-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,1,2,2 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 51227-49:
(7*5)+(6*1)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*9)=97
97 % 10 = 7
So 51227-49-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SYNTHESIS AND BIOLOGICAL ACTIVITY OF SOME CARDIOTONIC COMPOUNDS RELATED TO GITOXIGENIN
Humber, David C.,Jones, Paul S.,Phillipps, Gordon H.
, p. 19 - 30 (2007/10/02)
The four diastereomeric 3,16-diacetates 6, 9, 10 and 11 were prepared from gitoxin 1 by the routes shown in Schemes 1 and 2 and tested for inotropic activity in the isolated guinea-pig atrial preparation. In line with earlier findings in the digitoxigenin series, derivatives with a 3α-acetoxy function, viz 9 and 10, possessed high biological activity.
