Naphthalene, 1-chloro-, compd. with 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (1:1) is a chemical compound formed by the combination of 1-chloronaphthalene and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol in a 1:1 ratio. 1-chloronaphthalene is a halogenated aromatic hydrocarbon with the chemical formula C10H7Cl, derived from naphthalene by replacing one hydrogen atom with a chlorine atom. 2,4,6-trinitrophenol, also known as picric acid, is a highly explosive and toxic organic compound with the chemical formula C6H3N3O7. The combination of these two chemicals results in a complex mixture with potential applications in various fields, such as explosives, dyes, and pesticides. However, due to the hazardous nature of both components, handling and use of Naphthalene, 1-chloro-, compd. with 2,4,6-trinitrophenol (1:1) require strict safety precautions and adherence to regulations.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 5160-58-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,1,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5160-58:
(6*5)+(5*1)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*8)=77
77 % 10 = 7
So 5160-58-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A Computerised Least Square Method for Determination of Stability Constants of 1:1 Molecular Complexes and Chemical Shift of Pure Complexes from Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Data

Seal, B. K.,Mukherjee, A. K.

, p. 413 - 415 (2007/10/02)

A computerised method utilising nuclear magnetic resonance data has been developed for the determination of stability constants of 1:1 molecular complexes. It is based on the principle of least squares in which the coefficients are adjusted under a constraint with the help of Lagrange's method of undetermined multipliers. The method utilises the complete expression for equilibrium constant and is mathematically rigorous, straightforward, non-iterative and requires very little computer time.
