Four new lignans, kadsulignan H, I, J and K were isolated from the seeds of a Kadsura sp., of which kadsulignan possesses a novel benzobicyclooctane skeleton.Their structures, including absolute configurations, were elucidated by 2D 1H-13C long range COSY spectra and chemical conversions. From the stems of Kadsura heteroclita, new dibenzocyclo-octadiene lignans, named heteroclitins A-E, were isolated together with the known compounds, kadsurin and interiorin.Their structures were determinedby spectroscopic means.
