Novel amines of formula: where R is cis-2-phenylbicyclo[2,2,2]octane or 2-phenylbicyclo[2,2,2]oct-2-ene nucleus, n is 1 to 3, R1 is C1-3 alkyl and R2 is hydrogen or C1-3 alkyl, and acid-addition salts thereof, which are useful for the treatment of disorders of the central nervous system.

Secondary and tertiary 2-phenylbicyclo[2,2,2]oct-3-yl alkyl amines are useful as anti-depressant and anti-Parkinsonism agents. They may be prepared from the corresponding aldehydes, nitriles, amides, isocyanates or esters using known chemical techniques.
