Although Sisomycin Sulfate has been approved for human use in theUnited States, it has not been marketed in this country. Itsantibacterial potency and effectiveness against aminoglycoside-inactivating enzymes resemble those of gentamicin.Sisomicin also exhibits pharmacokinetics and pharmacologicalproperties similar to those of gentamicin.
