α,α'-Bis-(trimethylsilyl)-stilben, also known as bis(trimethylsilyl)stilbene, is an organosilicon compound characterized by its unique structure. It features a stilbene backbone, which is a vinylene group (C=C) bonded to two phenyl rings, with each phenyl ring substituted by a trimethylsilyl group (Si(CH3)3). α,α'-Bis-(trimethylsilyl)-stilben is of interest in organic synthesis and materials science due to its electronic properties and potential applications in the development of organic electronic devices, such as organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) and organic solar cells. The trimethylsilyl groups can influence the compound's reactivity and stability, making it a subject of study for understanding the effects of silicon-based substituents on the electronic and optical properties of conjugated systems.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 53511-09-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,3,5,1 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 53511-09:
(7*5)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*9)=94
94 % 10 = 4
So 53511-09-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of an [(NHC)2Pd(SiMe3)2] complex and catalytic cis-bis(silyl)ations of alkynes with unactivated disilanes

Ansell, Melvyn B.,Roberts, Debbie E.,Cloke, F. Geoffrey N.,Navarro, Oscar,Spencer, John

, p. 5579 - 5582 (2015)

The novel complex cis-[(ITMe)2Pd(SiMe3)2 (ITMe=1,3,4,5-tetramethylimidazol-2-ylidene) has been synthesized by mild oxidative cleavage of Me3SiSiMe3 using [(ITMe)2Pd0]. The use of this complex as precatalyst for the cis-bis(silyl)ation of alkynes using unactivated disilanes is reported. Double the Si: The novel complex cis-[(ITMe)2Pd(SiMe3)2] (1, ITMe=1,3,4,5-tetramethylimidazol-2-ylidene) has been synthesized by mild oxidative cleavage of Me3SiSiMe3 using [(ITMe)2Pd0]. The synthesized complex was used as a precatalyst for the cis-bis(silyl)ation of alkynes using unactivated disilanes.
