N,N-Dimethyl-N-2-propenyl-2-propen-1-aminium chloride polymer with 2-propenoic acid, also known as poly(2-propen-1-aminium chloride-co-2-propenoic acid), is a chemical compound that is used as a cationic polyelectrolyte in a variety of industrial applications. It is synthesized through the polymerization of 2-propen-1-aminium chloride and 2-propenoic acid, resulting in a high molecular weight polymer with a positively charged nitrogen center. N,N-Dimethyl-N-2-propenyl-2-propen-1-aminium chloride polymer with 2-propenoic acid has been found to be effective in flocculation and coagulation processes in water treatment, as well as in the formulation of adhesives and coatings.
