Isoporoidine is an alkaloid found in Duboisia myoporoides, which has been isolated as the hydrobromide with a melting point of 201-202°C. In the plant, it is present in its (+)-form, but only the synthetic optically inactive form of the free base has been described so far. The alkaloid has been referred to as Base Z in the literature, which was shown to be a mixture of Poroidine and Isoporoidine based on its hydrolysis products. However, the separation of the two isomers has not been achieved, and only synthetic bases have been prepared. The structure of the (±)-form has been established as (+)-α-methylbutyryl-nortropine.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 537-28-0 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 537-28:
(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*2)+(1*8)=70
70 % 10 = 0
So 537-28-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
