Uses
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
Sericic acid is used as an antioxidant for its ability to neutralize harmful free radicals, protecting cells from oxidative stress and damage. This property makes it a promising candidate for the development of drugs targeting various diseases and conditions related to oxidative stress.
Sericic acid is used as a PDE4A inhibitor, which can help regulate inflammatory responses in the body. This application is particularly relevant in the treatment of chronic inflammatory diseases, such as asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, and inflammatory bowel disease.
Additionally, sericic acid is used as an anti-inflammatory agent, reducing inflammation and alleviating pain associated with various conditions, including sports injuries, arthritis, and other inflammatory disorders.
Used in Cosmetics Industry:
Sericic acid is used as an ingredient in skincare products for its antifungal and antibacterial properties. These characteristics help maintain a healthy skin microbiome and prevent the growth of harmful microorganisms, leading to improved skin health and reduced risk of infections.
Used in Textile Industry:
In the textile industry, sericic acid is used as a natural, eco-friendly alternative to synthetic materials. Its unique properties, such as strength, durability, and moisture-wicking capabilities, make it an ideal choice for the development of high-quality, sustainable textiles.
Used in Food Industry:
Sericic acid is used as a natural preservative in the food industry, thanks to its antioxidant and antimicrobial properties. It can help extend the shelf life of perishable products, maintain their freshness, and protect them from spoilage caused by bacteria and fungi.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 55306-03-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,5,3,0 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 55306-03:
(7*5)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*0)+(3*6)+(2*0)+(1*3)=101
101 % 10 = 1
So 55306-03-1 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

TRITERPENOID SAPONINS FROM THE STEM BARK OF SYMPLOCOS SPICATA
Higuchi, Ryuichi,Kawasaki, Toshio,Biswas, Momota,Pandey, Vidya B.,Dasgupta, Biswanath
, p. 907 - 910 (2007/10/02)
From the stem bark of Symplocos spicata a mixture of triterpenoid saponins was obtained. It behaved as a pure compound in TLC and HPLC, but heterogeneity was suspected on the basis of chemical and NMR spectral data.It was separated to give two analogous glycosides, which were identified as 3,28-O-bis-β-D-glucopyranosides of 19α-hydroxyarjunolic and 19α-hydroxyasiatic acids.Key Word Index - Symplocos spicata; Symplocaceae; separation of analogous glycosides; structure elucidation; triterpenoid saponins; 3,28-O-bisglucosides of 19α-hydroxyarjunolic and 19α-hydroxyasiatic acids.
