Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 55776-27-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,5,7,7 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 55776-27:
(7*5)+(6*5)+(5*7)+(4*7)+(3*6)+(2*2)+(1*7)=157
157 % 10 = 7
So 55776-27-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and Characterization of Fluorinated Hypervalent Tellurium Derivatives

Pietrasiak, Ewa,Togni, Antonio

supporting information, p. 3750 - 3757 (2017/10/13)

The synthesis of tellurium derivatives bearing fluorinated groups, similar in structure to their hypervalent iodine congeners, is reported. Thus, a series of CF3, CF2H, and C6F5 aryltellurium(II) species bearing various functional groups interacting with the Te atom was obtained. The installation of the various fluorinated groups relies on the use of the corresponding trimethylsilyl precursors. The hypervalent nature of the products is discussed on the basis of their NMR spectroscopic and X-ray crystallographic characterization.
