Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 56797-47-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,6,7,9 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 56797-47:
(7*5)+(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*9)+(3*7)+(2*4)+(1*7)=178
178 % 10 = 8
So 56797-47-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Trimesitylzinn-hydroxid und -fluorid als Modellsubstanzen zur Bestimmung der "Normal"-Kovalenzabstaende Zinn-Sauerstoff und Zinn-Fluor

Reuter, Hans,Puff, Heinrich

, p. 223 - 234 (1989)

Trimesityltin hydroxide and fluoride have been prepared and have been studied by single crystal X-ray diffraction and IR spectroscopy. In both compounds the tin atoms are tetrahedrally coordinated, and the oxygen and fluorine atoms twofold and singly coordinated, respectively. The observed bond lengths are 199.9 pm for Sn-O and 195.7/196.5 pm (av. 196.1 pm) for Sn-F.

Synthesis and thermolytic behavior of tin(IV) formates: In search of recyclable metal-hydride systems

Ellis, Bobby D.,Atkins, Tonya M.,Peng, Yang,Sutton, Andrew D.,Gordon, John C.,Power, Philip P.

, p. 10659 - 10663 (2011/01/07)

The synthesis and characterization of the series of organotin formates together with their thermolytic behavior are described. The diformate Bu n2Sn{OC(O)H}2 (1) was synthesized by the reaction of Bun2SnH2 with formic acid. The triorganotin monoformate compounds R3SnOC(O)H (R = Cy (cyclohexyl)) 3, Mes, (mesityl, 2,4,6-trimethylphenyl) 4, and Dmp (2,6-dimethylphenyl 5) were obtained by the reaction of R3SnOH with formic acid. Their X-ray crystal structures along with that of the previously reported formate (PhCH 2)3SnOC(O)H (2) were determined. The diformate 1 exhibits an extended two-dimensional polymeric structure in which six-coordinate tin centers are linked by formate bridges. The tribenzyltin formate (2) possesses a chain structure in which the five-coordinate Sn(CH2Ph)3 units are bridged by formate ions. The cyclohexyl derivative 3 was observed to have a similar structure. In contrast, the Mes and Dmp derivatives 4 and 5 support monomeric structures in which the four-coordinate tin atom is bound to an oxygen of the formate ligand. Heating the compounds in various high boiling solvents produced no decomposition up to 120 °C in the case of 1 and refluxing a solution of 2 or 3 in mesitylene or diglyme left the starting material mostly unchanged, although 3 decomposed to an insoluble orange solid in refluxing decalin. In contrast, the heating of 4 and 5 in refluxing mesitylene led to elimination of CO to give the tin hydroxides. The results are in contrast to the known thermolytic behavior of R3SnOC(O)H (R = Prn or Bun) complexes, which eliminate CO2 to generate R 3SnH. Compounds 3-5 are rare examples of structurally characterized tin formates. The Royal Society of Chemistry 2010.

Synthesis and Structure of Dimesityltinoxide

Weber, U.,Pauls, N.,Winter, W.,Stegmann, H.B.

, p. 1316 - 1321 (2007/10/02)

Trimesityltin bromide reacts with concentrated aqueous ammonia to give trimesityltin hydroxide. This compound eliminates mesitylen and yields dimesityltin oxide. The product was investigated by 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy and X-ray diffractions.Dimesityltinoxide crystallizes in the space group P21/n with a = 25.38(1) Angstroem, b = 12.525(5) Angstroem, c = 32.91(1) Angstroem, β = 91.37(3) deg and two molecules in the asymmetric unit (Z = 8).The R-factor is 0.049 for 4688 symmetry-independent reflections. The trimeric molecules have six-membered tin-oxygen heterocycles in a twist conformation. - Key words: Organo-Tin-Oxygen Compounds, X-ray
