574-70-9 Usage

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 574-70-9 includes 6 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 3 digits, 5,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 574-70:
(5*5)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*7)+(1*0)=79
79 % 10 = 9
So 574-70-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Lithium-induced supramolecular hydrogel

Park, Jong S.,Jeong, Sooyeon,Chang, Dong Wook,Kim, Jae Pil,Kim, Ketack,Park, Eun-Kyoung,Song, Ki-Won

, p. 4736 - 4738 (2011)

We describe a novel anisotropic supramolecular gel made of cyclodextrin-dye, in which physical gelation is completed by lithium salt. Rheological experiment reveals the elastic behaviors of the hydrogel, and high ionic conductivity represents a good mobil

Colorimetric sensing of Cu2+ using a cyclodextrin-dye rotaxane

Park, Jong S.,Jeong, Sooyeon,Dho, Seongkook,Lee, Myungwon,Song, Chungkun

experimental part, p. 49 - 54 (2010/07/06)

A dye rotaxane having 8-hydroxyquinoline as coupling component was prepared in the presence of α-cyclodextrin and its structure identified using NMR. The dye rotaxane displayed high color strength regardless of the solvent used and responded to changes in pH based on tautomeric equilibrium, without any interference by the cyclodextrin macrocycle. Compared to the non-rotaxanated forms, the dye rotaxane displayed a characteristic spectral response to the presence of Cu2+ which was attributed to the formation of?a polymeric, metal-dye rotaxane complex which was of high solubility because of the presence of cyclodextrin. Thus, this approach can clearly be used as a facile and efficient sensor for copper ions.

Studies on Pollutants: Spectrophotometric Determination of Nitrile as "Azoxine Dye"

Bhatt, Alka,Gupta, V. K.

, p. 1056 - 1058 (2007/10/02)

Ten new reagent systems for determination of nitrile in water have been studied.A new system for the determination of nitrile using diazotised aromatic amine with 8-hydroxyquinoline as a coupling reagent has been developed.Sulphanilide was found to be most suited out of the ten amines tried for the determination of nitrite. The λmax of the dye is 500 nm.The Beer's law is followed in the range of 4-30 μg of nitrite per 25 ml.The molar absorptivity and Sandell's sensitivity are 30 x 1E3 litre mole-1 cm-1 and 0.0015 μg cm-3 respectively. The optimum reaction conditions and other analytical parameters such as, Beer's law, sen sitivity and interferences due to foreign species have been studied.
