A new nucleophilic aromatic substitution is desribed in the case of diphenylethertricarbonylchromium complexes.The overall sequence of the reaction consists in a regioselective meta substitution of the phenoxy group by the nucleophile: this is a tele-substitution.The ipso-substitution, known with halogenobenzenetricarbonylchromium complexes has been generalized in the case of diphenylethertricarbonylchromium complexes.
