3-Amino-hexanoic acid is used as an antifibrinolytic agent for preventing excessive bleeding during surgery or treating certain types of bleeding disorders. It functions by inhibiting the activation of the enzyme plasmin, which is responsible for breaking down blood clots, thus promoting clot stability and reducing bleeding risks.
Used in Pharmaceutical Stabilization:
EACA is utilized as a stabilizer for certain protein-based pharmaceuticals, enhancing their shelf life and maintaining their efficacy. Its ability to prevent the breakdown of proteins contributes to the preservation of the active ingredients in these medications.
Used in Pharmaceutical Synthesis:
3-Amino-hexanoic acid is employed in the synthesis of other pharmaceuticals and chemical compounds, expanding its applications in the pharmaceutical industry. Its unique chemical properties make it a valuable building block for the development of new drugs and therapeutic agents.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 58521-63-4 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 5,8,5,2 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 58521-63:
(7*5)+(6*8)+(5*5)+(4*2)+(3*1)+(2*6)+(1*3)=134
134 % 10 = 4
So 58521-63-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Competitive formation of β-amino acids, propenoic, and ylidenemalonic acids by the Rodionov reaction from malonic acid, aldehydes, and ammonium acetate in alcoholic medium

Lebedev,Lebedeva,Sheludyakov,Kovaleva,Ustinova,Kozhevnikov

, p. 1113 - 1124 (2007/10/03)

The Rodionov reaction of 49 available aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes with malonic acid and ammonium acetate in alcoholic medium, resulting in formation of β-amino acids, propenoic, and ylidenemalonic acids, was studied. Certain regioselectivity regularities of the reaction were revealed. Among the variety of ketones studied, cyclohexanone is the only whose reaction yields a β-amino acid. Unusual dehydrofluorination of 6-chloro-2-fluorocinnamic acid under the Rodionov reaction was discovered. 2005 Pleiades Publishing, Inc.
