5895-53-4 Usage
General Description
Lutetium Carbonate (Lu2(CO3)3), also known as Lutetium (III) Carbonate Hydrate, is one of the important lutetium compounds. Compounds of lutetium always contain the element in the oxidation state +3. Aqueous solutions of most lutetium salts are colorless and form white crystalline solids upon drying, except the iodide. Lutetium salts, such as nitrate, sulfate and acetate are water soluble while the oxide, hydroxide, fluoride, carbonate, phosphate and oxalate are insoluble in water.
Uses
Lutetium Carbonate is applied in making laser crystal, and also have specialized uses in ceramics, glass, phosphors, lasers. And it can also be used as catalysts in cracking, alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization. Stable Lutetium can be used as catalysts in petroleum cracking in refineries and can also be used in alkylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization applications. It can also be used as an ideal host for X-ray phosphors.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 5895-53-4 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 5,8,9 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 5895-53:
(6*5)+(5*8)+(4*9)+(3*5)+(2*5)+(1*3)=134
134 % 10 = 4
So 5895-53-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
