5-Hydroxybenzanthracene, 2-aryl-2,6-dihydroxy-5-formyl-2,3-dihydronaphthodioxin, and 4-arylnaphthodioxepin derivatives were synthesized by one-pot photochemical reaction of 2-bromo-3-methoxy-1,4-naphthoquinone with trialkylsilylenolether.
