A composition of matter is described herein which is useful as an activator for insecticides. The activator composition is defined by the formula: EQU1 wherein R is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl; R1 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl and cycloalkyl; R2 is selected from the group consisting of lower alkoxy and EQU2 wherein R3 and R4 can be the same or different and are selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and lower alkyl.
