Miticidally active compounds are described herein, which are defined by the generic formula SPC1 Wherein X is either fluorine or trifluoromethyl; Y is either hydrogen or chlorine; R1 is either methyl or ethyl; and where X is fluorine, R2 is hydrogen and R3 is methyl; and where X is trifluoromethyl, R2 and R3 are independently either hydrogen or methyl.
